Meet Farmer Alyssa

Hi friend, my name is Alyssa Johnston! I grew up in the hustle and bustle of San Diego, California. But, the slowness of the country life stole my heart. I have a bachelor’s degree in International Development, which to my surprise led me to my passion for agriculture! I discovered that food and how we grow it is pivotal to development. It was on a plane ride from Zambia to Malawi, Africa that I asked Wyatt what he wanted to do when we returned to the States (we had been public health workers there for the year and knew we were transitioning home soon). He didn’t know at the time and I boldly stated, “I want to start a farm.” I am truly living my dream by doing something I believe in, getting my hands dirty, and meeting so many amazing people in our community!

Meet Farmer Wyatt

Hey there! My name is Wyatt. To say I like plants is an understatement. I LOVE plants. As a young man, this passion led me down forest paths, across spans of meadows, and wading through marshes in the countryside of Northern California. It then delivered me through years of farm work around the world, a degree of Botany from Oregon State University, and a mission to share about agriculture with anyone I meet. The dream of creating a small-scale, local farm began in my roots, was fostered in my education, decided in between each African village I came to know, and realized when reaching our home in Eugene, Oregon. If small scale agriculture is the bright future that feeds the Western world, then I want to be counted among its renewed founders.

Farm Practices

Ezer Grace Farm is located at the base of Mount Pisgah on the West side in Eugene, Oregon. With about 1/4 of an acre in production, we are committed to growing the highest quality vegetables, fruit, herbs and flowers for you. Although we are not certified organic at this time, we do not use any chemical pesticides or fertilizers. We grow in a minimal till, permanent bed system. All of our practices are aligned with our belief of supporting healthy soil.
